MY ART

I've always loved dabbling in new creative endeavors, though I've never really considered myself an art-ist in the professional sense of the word.

Several years ago my sister Kasey asked me to create something special for her daughter's room. Soon after, I completed few more hit-or-miss assingments and it occurred to me: "Hmm...maybe this could catch on?"

Thankfully my husband James encouraged me to officially launch C 2 Believe Studios in 2005, though I must admit: I thought he was crazy. (I was deeply committed to my ministry, my magazine career, and let's face it, my all-around FUN TIMES!)

Turns out that the biz did indeed catch on and I've been so blessed to be called on to work on some pretty exciting projects over the years.

How cool that through my work at C 2 Believe Studios I've had the opportunity to create new and lasting friendships with clients. I owe to them all the successes past, present & future.

MY FAITH

When I was young, I really wanted to believe in God, but I just wasn't certain that I could. If God were here, then why wouldn't he just pick me up like my Dad does, hold me high and let me wrap around his big neck? Not only did I long to spend time with God, but I wanted to see his face. I wanted to really know him. When I was 16, I realized the unbelievable news. GOD IS WITH ME! Not just "on my side" but I mean, RIGHT HERE. Immediately I was able to really picture his presence: A Holy God, my creator, full of light...then, closer still, the Son of God, fully human, revealing to me that I am completely known and utterly loved.

MY LIFE THESE DAYS... 

I'm a native Austinite, now living NW of town in Cedar Park with my husband James, our son Sam (born in May of 2006) and our daughter Lucy (born in March of 2008). We also have a sweet old red dog, Amber.

 Our newest adventure is being a part of the church plant team for a new mission in Cedar Park. HCBC Northpoint is officially due to launch in January of 2009! Check out www.hcbcnp.com for more info.

 I've enjoyed lots of adventures in my life so far, including living in Mexico, leading worship with James, working in advertising at Texas Monthly, and teaching bilingual kindergarten. But none of these comes close to the fun I'm having as a stay-at-home mom!
